Hesitation Is Killing Your Real Estate Career

One of the biggest things that slows real estate agents down is not lack of information.

It is hesitation.

Most agents know what they probably need to do. Call the expired lead. Host the open house. Follow up with the internet lead. Start the conversation. Make the ask.

But because they want to do it perfectly, they wait.

The problem is that confidence does not come before the reps. It comes from the reps.

You do not learn to swim by reading about swimming. At some point, you have to get in the water. The longer you wait, the colder and scarier the water feels.

The same thing happens in sales.

Your first ten reps are probably going to be your worst. That is not a sign that you are bad at the business. That is the cost of learning the business.

The next ten will still be rough, but a little better. Then the next ten. Then the next ten after that.

Eventually, after enough reps, the thing that used to feel terrifying starts to feel normal.

That is why the real question is not, “How do I avoid being bad at this?”

The better question is, “How quickly can I get through the reps that will make me better?”

Because the agents who win are not always the ones who prepared the longest.

They are usually the ones who started sooner.
